Job Title: Marketing Manager

Main Purpose of Job: Lead and manage the marketing functions for culinary festival “Taste of München”
Reports To: Event Director
Salary: tbc
Hours of Work: 9:00 – 18:00 Uhr

Location: Munich
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
MARKETING
- Develop and execute the marketing campaigns for culinary festival Taste of München to maximize event awareness and ticket sales
- Oversee events’ brand look & feel and creative development including all artwork production and resizing
- Brief media agency on advertising campaign objectives and budgets, monitor the results of the media plan and work with the agency to adjust as necessary
- Manage marketing budgets for each event working to find efficiencies, savings and greater ROI wherever possible
- Manage the ticketing set-up with all ticket agencies for Taste of München Management of third parties, agencies and external stakeholders related to the individual events including:
- Conduct post-event surveys and arrange any other relevant research required; evaluate all activity post-event to assess effectiveness and recommend appropriate changes
- Work closely with account management team and sales team to fulfill marketing requirements for sponsors and partners
- Organize the onsite box office and ticketing teams to ensure efficient running of ticket sales, collections and guestlists
- Work closely with the Content Marketing Executives to ensure marketing campaign messages and key timings are aligned with the digital and social strategy
- Extended office hours in busy commercial periods
- Relocation on site with the team at each event
- Event hours are long and hard but rewarding and done as part of the team
- Minimum 3 years’ experience of working in an events/ client-facing marketing environment
- Ideally culinary background or affinity
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with a range of key internal and external stakeholders
- Understanding and enthusiasm for marketing in practice
- Ability to work calmly under pressure and meet deadlines a must
- Good commercial awareness and business sense
- Relevant event experience, both at the planning stages and on site
- Experience in marketing and communications with sound Germany media awareness
- Good network within the local & national media landscape with profound contacts in the culinary media industry
- IT skills (Microsoft packages)
- Photoshop, Dreamweaver or Illustrator competency
- Awareness of budgets and financial process
- Proficient in social media activation and measurement metrics
- Educated to degree level or equivalent
- Excellent inter-personal skills, with an outgoing and engaging disposition, and an open, consultative approach to working with colleagues, stakeholders and partners
- Excellent relationship management and presentation skills
- Strong time management, organizational and project management skills
- Excellent written communication with a keen eye for detail
- Fast thinker / problem solver
- Can use initiative and work well independently as well as team player
